
This book is prepared as one of the additional reference books for the Grammar in Written Discourse course. This book consists of 3 chapters, namely chapter 1 understanding grammar in written discourse, chapter 2 elements of written discourse, chapter 3 types of genres. This book is designed using the Genre-based Approach teaching method which has five stages of learning patterns.
The first stage is building knowledge which is used to master the theory and material. The second stage is modeling which aims to provide various kinds of examples and modeling. The third stage is joint construction which is used for exercises and assignments in groups. The fourth stage is independent construction which is used for independent exercises and assignments. The fifth stage is reflection which is used for evaluation of learning outcomes.
It is hoped that this book can be an additional reference that is easy to understand because it is arranged more concisely with a variety of examples and exercises available.
